Can you use this phone as a modem (i.e. tethering, MiFi)?
I would like to know if I can turn this phone into a Wi-Fi (Mi-Fi?) hotspot like you can with the Sprint Overdrive. I have a couple of devices I'd like to tether it to, if possible.

Absolutely, up to 8 devices simultaneously.

It will be able to tether using the 4g online speeds, and send out a wifi signal for up to five devices. Think of it as a free 4g Overdrive built into your new phone.
Sweet.

I work for a sprint call centere and actually it will support up to 8 devices simultaniously. There are phones like this already out in england and it has people ditching their home internet service because the phone is their internet provider. As far as we are aware the pricing for the plan needed for the phone will still be the everything data 450 for $69.99. They have not released any information as to when pre-order willbe available or when it will be actually available. How did you ever pass grade school?
...
i am sorry that my typing skills weren't up to your specifications. My computer at at work was adding characters without me knowing. And what does it matter to you how I passed grade school? This Forum isn't about who passed grade school and who didn't! Its about a really good phone that Sprint is launching. If you don't have anything nice to say to me or anything to say about this phone then you need to move to a different forum that cares about people and their typing and grammer. 👿

I've had my Samsung D900 for about 4 1/2 years now. I have been wanting to upgrade to a smartphone and waiting for the new iphone to be released before making my final decision on what phone and carrier to go with.
This might very well be it. If I am able to ditch my home ISP (Time Warner) and can use this phones wimax capability on my home computer - I think that would just push me over the edge and into the Sprint store next month to purchase one of these.
I like what I hear so far.
