So how long are we expecting battery life to be?

10 minutes? Maybe if you shut off the 4G and dim the backlit screen you could keep it going long enough to switch your car insurance to Geico.

Why is nobody talking about this? HTC Incredible is lucky to last a whole day, and it has a considerably smaller AMOLED screen that, pixel pixel, requires a lot less power than the backlit TFT screen on the EVO. Then you have the 4G radio to power, oh, and also the 3G radio, too. And then the power-wasting Sense UI.

This phone is tempting, but the more I think of it the more it seems just a over-packed feature hog that does everything, but nothing well, or for very long.

Sooo disappointed the CDMA N1 is cancelled.

If you had read the info on the Evo, you would have seen that the evo has a bigger battery than the incredible and N1 have. I expect the battery life to be comparable to the HD2 for tmobile, as they are the same size. Yes, the 4g radio will drain the battery quicker than a 3g would, but there are power saving options on all phones. And more than likely they will put out an extended battery for this puppy. So stop being a negative nancy because this phone is going to s*&t on the N1.

Its a smart phone that all you need to know and with that said they are all to power hungry for todays battery technology to keep up. If you are so concerned about that maybe you should by a feature phone or a blackberry.
