Tried the EVO 4G...Switching back to iPhone 4
Well, after whining on here that I could not decide whether to buy the new iPhone 4 and renew my AT&T contract or go to Sprint for the new EVO I took the advice of fellow forum members and purchased an HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. People suggested I buy it and try it for 30 days and return it if I was not happy. If I was happy I could cancel my AT&T contract at that time.
After four days I am going to be returning the EVO 4G on monday and ordering the iPhone 4 on tuesday.
Do not get me wrong, the EVO4G is an amazing phone and my review of it in the EVO review section will be a glowing one. Although I do have a few minor physical build issues with the phone, the problems I have with it are mostly carrier related.

Your thread is a little misleading considering that the Iphone4 is not even out yet nor can you pre-order until the 15th. So how can you possibly be returning to something you never had? 😕

funny thing is even if you aren't getting 4G it's still going to be a lot faster then anything you will be getting from the slowest network on the planet. lol

I had the Iphone 3g and now with the Evo and I absolutely love this phone!!!!!! you have to give it a couple weeks of breaking in period before the battery will work the way you want.....I didn't like it at first either but I was making the move from Verizon to Sprint and I am so glad I did......
The battery is fine now and last me the whole day and then some.....

After seven months of using the EVO 4g, I too will be switching back to the iPhone. The usability of the EVO is very hampered. I continually get the text wrong (due to auto correction) where in the iPhone I rarely had a problem entering text. I have also started to have problems with apps just starting to do things on their own (my profiles app has occasionally put my phone into silent mode). The OS is just not as good as the iPhone. There is a better selection of apps on the iPhone not to mention a better quality of apps overall.
Overall the iPhone is a much better device (although on AT&T the phone quality sucks). I will be switching to the iPhone on Verizon on the 10th of February.
