When will the samsung epic 4g be released?
Since the Samsung Vibrant and Captivate will be released all within a week from now? When will Sprint release the Samsung Epic 4g? I would like to know the full specs so I could have something comparable to the HTC Evo.

The CDMA versions (Epic Pro and Fascinate) are coming much later. A few months. They haven't even been approved by the FCC yet.

they could have easily been approved and being held till a certain til till thier release like the evo was. Samsung epic will be out by mid august Verizon wont be out till September they dont wanna it to trump thier droid x and droid 2 releases

I don't think that's what happened with the EVO. There was a month and a half between announcement and FCC approval, so they don't seem to have been coordinated.
Only Apple (and sometimes Nokia) coordinate FCC approval dates with announcements. Everyone else just gets them approved as soon as possible, then requests that the juicy parts be kept confidential until after announcement.
The Fascinate was actually just approved by the FCC yesterday. The Epic 4G has yet to be approved. That doesn't mean the Fascinate will ship first, though. Verizon is notorious for their own lengthy testing process.

The galaxy S isnt nearly as good as the droid X, so I doubt verizon is too worried about that.

Actually they're far better then the Droid X, better cpu, better screen. The Droid X while a great phone, pales to the Galaxy X.

I'm not trying to start a flame war here. I don't own either phone (have an evo) but I'm curious about why you would say that the x pales to the galaxy s. the galaxy s has the super amoled display the x's is larger... the x has more internal memory, the epic has a front facing camera... both cpu's are incredibly similar. the ti omap in the x sports the same arm architecture and same graphics chip as the hummingbird in the galaxy s. And for the record those ti omap processors are are a pretty serious piece of hardware.
