Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S)
Memory question
From page 3 of the review: "Samsung packs the Captivate with its own 1-GHz Hummingbird processor and 512MB of RAM. You also get 16GB of RAM, which you can expand to 32GB."

Then you can add a memory card for even more memory. Like most phones, if it supports a 16 GB card, it should support 32 GB, but whether they state that in the specs just depends on the card sizes available when they did the testing.
However, I now think that review is wrong, and that it is 16GB internal PLUS the sd card for a potential total of 48GB. It's still not explicitly clear though.
From att: "16 GB on-board memory for photos, videos, and music – expandable memory up to 32 GB"
Other sites say something similar to this: "Storage: 16 GB of internal storage with up to 32GB microSD"
... it is 16GB internal PLUS the sd card for a potential total of 48GB. ...
Correct.
"The Captivate offers 16GB of internal memory, plus an expansion slot (supports up to 32GB cards)"
