Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S)
calendar/reminders
I am with ATT, I am thinking about getting this phone. One of the main things is that I need a phone to help me set up reminders on a calendar that will alert me when coming up, etc... People tell me blackberry is very good for this, what do you think?

Yes, the Captivate has a very good built in calendar that allows setting up an alarms for events. The alarm can even be set to go off a certain amount of time prior to the event. For example if you have a meeting at 4:00 in the afternoon, you can enter the meeting as 4:00, but then have the alarm set to go off 15 minutes before that. The length of the interval can be anything you like, and allows for a "custom" value (e.g. 11 minutes) if you don't like the presets included in the app.
It also supports recurring events. For example, a meeting that occurs every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. would be entered once and set up to recur daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, up through whatever date you specify.
Overall it's very good calendar applic...
