Nokia N8-00
T-Mobile?
As pointed out in earlier posts it will work just fine with T-Mobile as an unlocked device.
I currently have a N95 thats a 3G phone but only works on the EDGE network on t-mobile here in the USA.
Before purchasing, I want to be sure the N8 will be able to take advantage of the fastest speeds t-mobile offers today and down the road for a while...
HSUPA Cat 9 (whats inside the N8 ) is not the same as HSPA+ (what T-Mobile uses).
"HSUPA Cat 9" can reach speeds up to about 10.1mb.

According to the N8 spec sheet, this is the technology uses.

The connection icon lights up saying i'm connected to 3.5G. The speed results are pretty consistent. No where near 21mb but fast enough for most things i'd want to do on the phone.
Now the bad news. The phone has issues. Lots of SW bugs around email. IMHO, Clunky interface and just overall disappointing. I'm coming from a N95 that has been a dream to use over the last 3 years. The OS is dated but for it's time it was great. The OS on the N8 seems to be more work, a lot more clicking to do the same work and overall clunky in comparison to other smartphones I've seen.
