Flagship Phone? Really??
raulrJun 14, 2010, 3:29 PM
It is using an ARM11 CPU. This is their top of the line phone? C'mon. Apple, Moto, HTC are all using Cortex A8 based processors since last year. This not even released Nokia is going to be their top of the line running an ARM11.
And the screen res is not even close to the new iPhone and Android Flagship phones.

Can someone please point me to the url where they refer to the N8 as their "flagship" device?

I want this phone soooo bad, but I do not have $800

It would be nice to see it with 512mb of ram and a 1Ghz processor. At least give it the N900's 800 Mhz processor. Then it would truly be a flagship device.

Right now (12/17/2010) it is available all over the Web at $449.00. At that price, it might very well provide competition for people looking at top of the line Android or iPhone 4.

The Nokia can do some things that iPhone and Android cannot do very easily, however. Including those dongles in the retail box is a sign of where Nokia users have gone in relation to iPhone and Android.
I understand what the original poster means about the A8. The A8 is great. But remember that even in the iPhone, the ARM processor is clocked down to preserve battery life. When manipulating menus, I am not sure that someone holding the Nokia would see any reason to prefer the iPhone or the Android.
I am an iPhone user (a heavy user) who still sees quite a bit of u...
