Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S)
NO FLASH?!

This phone was ALMOST perfect... what a way to f*** it up Samsung!
Buck up, little camper. Flash is just around the corner.
1. Most LED flashes are crap, with a range of four feet, at best.
2. The original (international) Galaxy S doesn't have a flash, either, so it's not like they removed anything to create this particular US version.

They may still call it "TouchWiz" in some marketing somewhere, but the widgets are standard Android widgets, not TouchWiz widgets.
That's one of the great things about Android: at the end of the day, it's completely open and carriers and manufacturers are free to do whatever they want with it. That's a perfect example of just how open it is. I think an open OS like Android is very healthy for the market.
Of course I would trade both for an LED notification light or some sort of visual system to notify of messages. Maybe the light under the capacitive buttons can flash? Seems silly to leave something like this out.
At least you can show the phone off to your friends and brag about how pretty it is(even if you don't have 4g service)
It is so much smarter to go to one of the other carriers and pay up to 40 dollars more for the same services sprint offers!
How dumb are the people who are saving money on sprint even with the 4g fee. What morons right...
Give me a f'ing break. Go bitc* somewhere else... 🙄

Samsung makes good stuff most of the time but they always seem to cut some corner and make things that just miss the mark.
Yes, we can live without a flash but now they are very common so why leave it out? My Samsung Moment had one. Even Apple gave in and put a flash in the iPhone.
