Sprint did'nt make it, they just put it out... Sanyo made it for Sprint's PCS's Network. 😉

Yes, but Sanyo made it exclusively for and in collaboration with Sprint, so in essence Sprint did make it, just not physically. Now that better phones are coming out, this one is becoming bottom of the line, unfortunately.
