Anyway to get Droid X widgets on this thing?
I picked up the thunderbolt as I was bored with my droid X and wanted 4G. I like it for the most part but if it weren't for the fact that I can browse the web while on a call (even in 3g only areas) I would consider returning it because there are some widgets on the droid X that I like a LOT better. News, Calendar, Quick contacts etc...heck the droid x keyboard is better too.
I found a droid x system dump, downloaded it and tried to load these widgets on it manually (yes, I checked the unknown sources box) and it just comes up "application not installed".
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
May be I'm just so use to the X that this bugs me and time would resolve, but I doubt it. The news widget and the calendar widgets are both ...

You can try to find similar programs in the market. If you have the droidX dump, you can try to install the app that is associated with the widgets (that's why you get an "app not installed" error), however, there's a LOT of apps involved due to dependencies, and some of them you may not be able to put on without gaining superuser ("root") access.
Sense provides a lot of similar widgets, but they ARE different (some would say better; I don't have enough experience with either, though I did just get a Droid2 after about 10 bad D1 replacements (long story) so I am going to get to start playing with some of those widgets) Frankly, I like some of the third party apps better than EITHER sense OR blur. For example, there's a pure calendar wi...
