So, I have been playing with my new toy for an hour and when I got home to play some more....it was locked 😳 !
I don't know how but it is. 😢 MMM...maybe I shouldn't have been testing it in the car...in the dark...on the way home.
Just tell me there is a way to unlock this baby.

How do I perform a master reset on a LG vx4500 phone? I understand the menu "0" the "000000", but from there I find no reset option. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

OK, after much deliberation and reading both here and at HowardForums, I made the leap and did the switch to the 4500. I haven't had enough time to play with it yet to provide a review, but so far, I'm pleased with it.

Spectar and 2fingers, is the front of yours getting scratched at all? I'm very paranoid about the front being scratched. I'm always wiping it with a tissue or even my shirt to keep it nice and shiney! 🤣

Spectar, you are right, you can't change the front LCD color for standby mode, not an option. But you can change it when it rings, etc. But you know what? The white, I think, makes it look pretty classy, so I'm not displeased with the white in standby.

I do have to get my timing right with the voice command fea...

Is there a way to customize the announcement menu when you use voice recognition to get ot your phonebook or download alternate announcement menus?
I upgraded to version 4 software (t45vzv04) and I like the way you can choose which number within a single phonbook entry to call - mobile, office, etc. The way they structured the voice menu, however, is longer than it needs to be. The script seems written for someone who's using the voice commands for the first time and needs to have the instructions as to what to say clearly explained to them. After a few uses, however, you know what to say when and don't need to hear Ms. Vx4500 repeat "Joe found. Choose a number to call. Say the label, home, mobile, office, office2..." I end up just...

This may have been in the forum in the past, but I couldnt find it. I heard there is a way to take any MP3 you have and use it as a ringtone.
Is this true?

When I'm already on a call and then my phone beeps at me that I have another caller on the line I can't figure out how to answer the new caller. My phone screen says "quiet" and "ignore" but what do I need to press to put the current caller on hold and answer the new caller?

Just got my 4500 (migrated from Motorola T720). I have not had it long enough to say much except that the speaker phone is great and the phone receives in my apartment (the T720 only received when I stood next to a window).

I have a question, though.

On Motorola, the light next the the antenna was green if your were connected, red if not (like in an elevator or deadspots). On the 4500, it is not any color. Am I missing something in the menus to turn it on. I did set it to various colors depending on calls, messages etc (cute feature) but did not see any option for it to just say I was not in a dead spot.

Any advice?

I have a Moto 720. Can't stand the v265 and so am switching. Was just about to buy the A670 (it is so nice and small) when the salesperson pointed out the LG VX 4500--with speaker phone, no camera (but I don't need a camera). It is a bit bigger. So, how do you all feel re battery life, audio quality, ease of use, dropped calls?
I think the Samsung is cuter, but I can deal with the look of the 4500 if the features warrant it.
Neither is gorgeous. I want a phone that is a really good phone.

My 15 day trial is almost up and barring any unforeseen events in next 5 days, I am keeping this phone. Signed a new 2 yr contract, retired my moto T720. Actually liked the T720 well enough--to me the menus are more intuitive than LG (maybe bc I began with Startac) but had lots of dropped calls and crumby battery life.

I am NOT a heavy cell phone user. As far as I can see the 4500 fits the bill. It too drops calls in dead spots in NYC (just like my T720), tho it did manage to get around a corner that usually silenced my moto. It is slightly better receiving in my apartment. Starting last night, when I receive a call my telephone says "Verizon Wireless" and then it rings. I didn't change any settings and I can't figure out how to make it quit saying "Verizon Wireless". Anybody know how to fix it back to just ringing??

I'm not sure if this has been covered anywhere else or not, but I wasn't able to find it. Can somebody either give me directions on how to extract the stock ringtones from a vx4500 or send me the one i want? My cousin has one, and i want one of the ringtones from her phone, but she can't mms it to me and she doesn't know how to do it with the data cable. The ringtone I'm looking for is the "saints" ringtone as that just happens to be my school song, and I want it for when football season rolls around again, so if you could either email me the file (mp3 preferred, but mid/midi works too) or email me very simple directions on how to do it, i'd greatly appreciate it. my email address is internetadam@aol.com

Standby life is less than 24 hours with 'no signal' with both software v2 and v4. Do you have this problem? Any solutions?

Anybody have any luck with bluetooth headsets and adaptors with the 4500?

I just tried the Jabra FreeSpeak BT250 headset, and the Jabra A210
adaptor. The A210 is significantly smaller and lighter than the
previous version, which is what prompted me to try it.

I can get it to work, but the sound quality is relatively poor, and I
can't initiate voice commands in "Driving Mode", which is what I was
hoping for. I can answer and hang up on a call straight from the
headset...but to initiate a voice command, I have to hit the lower
button on the left side of the phone.

What concerns me more is the sound quality....one person said I
sounded like I was on a golf course...far away with lots of background

I just bought a 4500 for an upgrade from the 4400B. I have the USB cable for the 4400B. If I get the USB cable should I be able to put the ring tones from the 4400 on the 4500? I think they are diff formats...4400 is MIDI and I think the 4500 is polyphonic. Any tips for me? 😁 I thought Verizion would let me download them again for free, but I was told no. 😢 Thanks!

Ok, I am trying to find my perfect "plan" fone and I am giving it time to review all of my favorite fones that Verizon Wireless offers.

1. I've heard that the desktop charger is really tight and hard to get the fone off...howd yyou fix that?

2. Can you lock the fone?

I just had V4 put on my phone(screen kept going blank)now the speaker phone stays on even after you end the call.The v2 shut the speaker phone off when you ended the call.This phone is great to bad the updates make it take steps backwards ☹️ .................so much for technology

Do those stickers you put on the inside of your phone to booster your signal really work? My reception went from really great to not so good (I only get 2 bars now). I have Verizonwireless in Southern California.

my friend had a downloaded ringtone that literally sang her name when recieving a call. does anyone know where i can find this ringtone? and if it is compatible w/ an lg4500? i`ve never had such a technical phone i would appreciate some help. thanks
