Any word when any of the new phones will be available?
...
I was just talking to an associate at Verizon Wireless about replacing my HTC Droid Eris and they suggested that I hold off for about a month due to some new phones that are about to be released. I was speaking to them about getting the Droid X when they suggested this wink wink.
...
iPhone comes early next month. More than likely the Thunderbolt does as well. I've read in various places the Droid Bionic may not come until April.
...
iPhone is 3g, the Bionic is 4g, I would wait for the Motorola.
...
When? are they any closer to a release date?

If I see something I will let you know. I believe it will be in the 2nd quarter.
...
My upgrade's only good until July. Hopefully by then?
Jo
...
How is your upgrade ownly good through July? I have a line upgradedable for all most a year now. I would believe it will be out soon late March maybe early May?
...
Maybe I misunderstood them about the upgrade? My upgrade was not supposed to be until July. But I qualify fior an early upgrade. So then when would that expire? Well if the bionic comes out March/April/May, I'll still qualify.
Seems like work AT&T already putting out some nice phones, verizon would be pushing for quicker release.

The "early" upgrade will expire, but then you'll qualify for "regular" upgrade, because it won't be "early" anymore. 🙂
Regular upgrade is better than early upgrade, by the way, because with an early upgrade you have to pay the upgrade/activation fee ($36 right now), and with the regular upgrade you'll get you NE2, which is usually good for at least another $50. Of course, they are doing away with that, so your next upgrade you get the extra discount (unless they put it back in 🙂 )
...
The early upgrade is subject to a $20 early upgrade fee, you only pay an activation fee once (on the initial phone number activation). The only phone that is exempt right now is the iPhone, and thats only until March.
...
Even Though I have an unlimited data plan, I still have to pay a month in advance to?
...
I can clear a couple things up in this entire post. It seems a couple people already did, but ill verify then.
The phone will come in 2nd quarter, thats for sure, we'll see a release date in a few weeks most likely. It is going to be in the top contenders for Best Verizon phone of first half of 2011. (first phone to utilize DDR2 Ram instead of mobility SDRAM)
And you can upgrade anytime, just be better after your Early Upgrade.
Hope this helps a little.

I would think this would be avail more like 2 months from now than 2 weeks from now--it doesn't even have an FCC ID listed on Phone Scoop yet. It appears to me that the new Samsung 4G phone for Verizon will be the next one released as it already has an FCC ID on March 1st, or the LG Revolution which obtained its FCC ID March 8th. It appears that Bionic will be the last one to be avail.
...
May 19th is the tenative date, if it comes out at all. They are working on a Droid X2 as well. The X2 will not be LTE from what I understand. I expect LG's Revolution to be sooner as I have played with one of those. The Samsung Charge may beat it out as well. Some of the specs from Phonescoop on the Bionic are incorrect though.
...
From what i know the bionic has been delayed for unknown reasons till maybe July. Which is dissapointing as I was looking forward to this phone. I have no desire for the Thunderbolt and really don't see any Verizon LTE coming out in the next few months that catch my eye. Unless someone could point me to one that would with similar specs to the Bionic.
...
One of the suspected reasons the Bionic has been delayed is that they are putting an induction charger and back in the box. I feel as you do about the Bionic, but my next choice would be the LG Revolution. Same basic specs minus the 8MP camera and dual core processor. However, I've had hands on with the Revolution, and it is truely fast. Very user friendly. In fact, the user's manual is a pdf included in the phone. There are also training videos on the device as well showing how to use the different features.

Hmm, interesting. Do you have an idea on a street date for it?

Late April to mid May

OK OK so the bionic hasnt been scrapped its been delayed motorola officially announced according to the they are taking opinions and suggestiongs from ppl who reviewd this device at ces into consideration and are looking into enhancing it for a better user experience...thats more or less verbatium or as close as possible i think thats pretty exciting im sooo hoping they give it a 1gb of ram bigger battery get netflix on board and *figers crossed* nfc and true right now or when it was announced only 2nd gen snapdragons or well dual core snapdragons supported the drm requirement for netflix but its not going to stay that way other chip makers will start putting the drm in their chips as well
...
I heard this at a VZW store that the bionic hopefully will be out in 60 days.
...
It will be available 08/18 at the earliest.
