You can add back whatever you like, but no, you generally cannot remove Bing.

Just FYI...Pre-installed apps can be removed from any device if it is rooted. Rooting an Android device is the same as jail breaking an iPhone. Once the device is rooted, you can make customizations that aren't allowed fresh out the box. I work in the IT department at my job and we just left AT&T for a better deal with Verizon. I had an iPhone with AT&T (which was jail broken for the two years that I had it). We switched to Verizon and I received my Revolution on June 9th. I will not be rooting this phone, however, because I have decided to trade it in for the Motorola Droid Bionic when it is released next ...

I have an LG Revolution. I have had it since June 9th. I work in the IT department of my company and this Revolution is my company cell phone. The Revolution is a beautiful device, however, there are a few improvements that I would like to see LG make on this phone.
You can remove pre-installed apps such as bing, however, you will have to root your device in order to do so. By rooting the device, you can remove the default bing app and install Google so that your search button will default to Google search; and bing is never to be seen again. By rooting your phone, you can remove other bloatware (pre-installed apps)...
