does the gps work in this one?
cause the one in the o.g. vibrant will never work âšī¸
...
why wouldn't it?
Why didn't it work on the vibrant?
...
I don't why it doesn't work on the vibrant. It just doesn't. I currently own the phone and from what i read it was the gps unit they used in the phones. If you don't believe you can Google it, you'll get tons of hits.
...
A friend of mine with the AT&T version of GalaxyS had the same issues until an update fixed it. I assume it must be fixed on this now.
...
nope. that update was supposed to fix it but it only kinda fixed it. Compared to g2, mt4g, and every other phone it sucks, the gps in the vibrant still sucks.
...
So even though everyone commented in the GPS on the first Vibrant, no one has said if it is any better on the 4G. Any takers?

yes it does work, but worthless,
i currently have mytouch4g, and i takes a second to lock,
i got one galaxy s 4g to test, and it takes 5 to 10 minutes to lock, after it locks, it still didnt work, so i exit the navigation, and then went back into it, and it started to give direction turn by turn.
everytime i have to do the same procedure.
hope that helps

Well once you root your vibrant and install a custom ROM it seems to work just fine đ not to mention but for some reason I am getting faster connection speeds now. đ
...
I've done both... I'm currently running tw bionix-v 1.3.1. I'm definatly getting faster download/upload speeds and the gps does work better but not the way it should.
...
Yeah I am running the same ROM, I have the frost rom too but I didnt really like it as much
...
Yah i don't like the frost version either..Have you tried any of the different kernels?
