Will it ever be available in stores?
I'm ready for my NE2 deal and I would love to get this phone. Some have stated that VZW will not let you upgrade to this phone via the Internet or a call to customer service.
When will it ever be available in stores?

I was able to get two 4600's as upgrades. I paid $119 for each, with one-year contracts as upgrades. Alternatively I could have paid $69 each with two-year contracts. I spoke with several cust. svc. people, who refused to issue the phone as an upgrade. Finally, someone in the "loyalty" department said it was "no problem", and the phones arrived 2 days later. You just have to be determined and keep trying until you get a rep who will do it.
About the phones...I was used to Startac and Moto 270c. These LG phones are nice. A little uncomfortable on the ear, and warm after a while. Reception is not as good as the 270c in digital, but better than the Startac. Easy to use menu. Nice pre-loaded ringers. It is one of the few phones left which don'...

I, too, got one as an upgrade for $119 with a one-year contract. And I, too, am worried that they'll never come out with accessories. In particular, I want/need an extended battery. Maybe it's the navy blue color that's keeping the production behind schedule. I've talked with both Verizon and LG accessories sales people and they all said that they don't know when/if the batteries will become available. If I get really desperate, I guess I could buy from Telus but $130 is twice the price it should be. Good luck to us!

Does your store have an internet presence? Will you carry accessories, esp. extended battery?
...
Nope, I'm just a local indirect dealer. I haven't found where I could get extended batteries yet. The funny thing about this is that I've had them in now for almost two weeks and nobody really shows any interest. I'm even using it for myself to help push it, but with the rebate on the 4500 nobody is very interested.

Verizon is now upgrading existing customers with the LG4600 now, but only via the internet. When you sign on to your on-line account, and select "upgrade phone", the LG4600 should be availabe as an option. At least, in my area it is.
Up till last week, it wasn't available--available only to new customers.
