Not a fail...LEARN before you type a comment. They are not like Verizon phones that require an LTE radio and a seperate CDMA radio to allow simul voice and data. LTE is a data only network still for both carriers, however, AT&T is able to use a single radio for all bands. Although LTE is data only, AT&T devices can go to HSPA+ or older technologies to allow the simul voice and data still. Until VOIP over LTE is done, AT&T actually has the upper hand with device batt life, size, ability to produce faster, slimmer and wont suffer such a heavy drop from LTE to other network technologies. I feel they have a better plan. So, again...FAIL sir is on your comment!

LTE and WCDMA and GSM are three separate technologies and networks.

LTE and CDMA are two separate technologies and networks.

The chipsets are integrated, but AT&T's phones do not have fewer radios.

AT&T's claims of better battery life are about needing only one radio on at the same time. It actually has more radios, but AT&T phones don't need to leave two radios on at the same time, like Verizon's.

Thanks Rich for always informative explanations. I don't feel AT&T will have upper hand though as whatwhatjbdo is saying. Battery life will suck on this device no matter what. It's just the nature of LTE. 1600mah isn't good enough for an LTE based smartphone let alone an Android ...

So, 1620 is actually not as bad as you think. Most of the old HTC's have 1500 mAh and some newer around 1700. As far as all the phones of the same specs these battery life's are not that horrible as you seem to think. ANY android you will have to do a little battery management that is just known, but with the help of gingerbread less management than before. From playing with this phone and selling to a few customers I have talked to a few of them since sold and they had no complaints of the battery. It's all about how you use it.

Yes of course, leave the LTE radio on at all times is going to drain any phone. It's not like HTC is going to put a 3500 mAh battery in their phones because they feel if you really need that extended battery you...
