Verizon Rep Confirms Late June Treo Release
I know we've heard this from others and my statement has no more proof than them, but my Verizon corporate account rep told me to expect a late June release date on a Verizon Treo. He had no details on the product (like the three questions about camera, blue tooth, and screen res), but would forward specs via e-mail once he had them. He said he breifly handled a demo last week and it supposedly was the finished version, but they have a few more weeks before they are available for purchase. I'll add more info on specs if he forwards them to me.

Is this going to be the Trio 600 or 610 released for Verizon?
I am hoping it will be the 610 since they seemed to fix most of the bugs (not many) that the 600 had.

I had lunch with a HR girl from Palmone today, and she said that it will be the 610 that will come out; moreover, it will come out late June. The only draw back is that it will be slightly thinker, because of the changeable battery.

Being a little thicker does not sound too bad if it does everything it is suppose to.
Do you happen to know what the Suggested Retail Price will be? Can we look forward to a rebate? If so, how much?

Where you able to get info on differences other than a removable battery? My four questions in particular are:
1) High res screen now?
2) Blue Tooth?
3) Camera removed?
4) Still all digital or was analog/AMPS added?
...and as for price, if you have to ask, you can't afford it! I'm so ready to replace my unreliable, slow Kyocera 7135.

Well, it certainly will not be the "imagined" Treo 610 being released. If Verizon or ANYONE get the 610 in the near future, I will be VERY surprised. They will probably get the 600 and 4-6 months later some other carrier will get the 610!
Newly appointed president of PalmOne Ed Colligan said additional carriers would be selling the Treo 600, but most of the demand would come from existing partners. Cingular, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile USA currently support the Treo 600.
Verizon Wireless continues to test the Treo 600 on its cellular network, Colligan said.

I talked to a Verizon loyalty management rep last night. I told her I was going to a different carrier if Verizon did not release the phone I wanted (Treo 600/610). She was very helpful and checked with technical support. Though she wouldn't committ to a date, she did inform me that the data support people were currently being trained on the Treo. No guarantees, but a good sign.
