There is an LTE GS II coming out, and use gsm, not sure if it will be fully capable for AT&T. The HTC Holiday i.e Raider is coming out in the next month or so. It also looks very good.

No problem, I'm not sure I would really worry about LTE, I don't tether, and who knows when it will get to me, and finally wonder the cost.

I was thinkin' the same thing, the HSPA+ will prob be plenty fast for me, as my 3g is already sufficient in most cases...

And yes the LTE prob won't reach me for a while... Good point... Also will the speed difference even be THAT significant?

I guess I would simply rather have the LTE- capable phone given the option. I think the initial prices of these phones will be similar, around $199... cuz that was the initial price for alomst all of the high-end smart phones over the past year, even the 4G HSPA+ phones...

Oh yeah one more thing, I don't tether either...wouldn't want to lose that unlimited data now would I????

LTE will be here before the year is out for most people. I too wonder on the cost prob $249 and I wonder if data will be extra like Sprint. HSPA is not true 4g which is what I want. All in all I want a LTE phone right now.

Galaxy SII now on ATT web page, it shows HSPA+/LTE, wow ! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Also the battery with the unit has NFC marked on it (saw @ The Shack Friday),so I presume it has NFC that works thru the batt & possibly LTE capable according to ATT website. There is 1 mistake, ATT web shows 3 hrs. talk time, which should read 8 hrs., according to Phonescoop & Samsung's webpage, prob a typo. Will be picking one up today around noon, so will have more info Sun. evening. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Read again, its 4g HSPA+, not LTE. While myself and others don't consider HSPA+ 4g, many carriers and others do.

While I absolutely understand & agree with u that HSPA+, even with backhaul IS NOT LTE 4G, on ATT webpage where the phone is listed for sale, @ the bottom of the detailed info, where it shows HSPA+, it also shows, HSPA+/LTE. I DO NOT believe it is LTE capable actually, but it DOES list it. Also it still shows only 3 hrs. talk time, which should b 8 hrs. So either a TYPO or ATT's accidental attempt to sell more phones, I vote for the later. FreddieBoy ๐Ÿ˜Ž
