when the phone is slide is down. is there a way you can press any key and the backlight will turn on? I hate to see the black screen all the time. I need to slide the phone up to see it.

Well I have a short-term solution. You can either press the side volume keys or the send key for about 1-2 sec. Then the screen will light up then press the unlock soft key. Then you can use the features of the phone like making calls if you don't use the number key pad while it's closed etc... And it will also light up then dim a little for a couple a mintues until it goes to the black screen again. 🙂

you mean once the black screen goes black again? I need to either press the side volume keys of the send keys for the screen to light up again? Humm.. don't really like that. - Luckily this phone cost me only $50.00 after rebate.
