Jerky video playback
Looking for some help. When I shoot video in 1080p with my GS3 and then play it back (view it on the phone) it's crystal clear, but plays very jerky. It's very irritating. I have a new SanDisk class 10 high-speed micro SD card so I doubt that's the problem. Any ideas?

I've found this is an issue with most 1080p video. The flip camera and other dedicated HD recorders have a similar issue at 1080p. I've asked others about this and apparently most people don't notice, but certain people are more sensitive to visual issues like that. It happens to make me nauseous unfortunately 😛 I've found that usually lowering to 720p takes away a lot of that though.

720p will give you smoother video,
but also, do you have "image stabilization" turned on?
If so, turn it OFF I found when its on it does exactly what you dont want it to to.
I had video of my pushing my kid on swings at the park and it looked like an earthquake was going on.
Turned off "IS" and it was perfect.
I noticed if you have a lot of background apps running sometimes that causes the video be a little choppy.
Its good to the "Remove All" and Task Manager-RAM-Clear Memory" that helps keep things smooth.

After reading these posts I double checked my phone
when I play the video I shot yesterday, sometimes the frames would freeze while playing the video back on my phone, I copied the video file onto my laptop and played it on the computer and it played perfectly smooth.
No frame freezes at all.
So I am happy to say the jerky video playback happens only on the phone, the actual video if played on something else plays perfect.
