Battery life
Slightly larger battery, same size display, but 25% less talk time vs the Photon? And it's a real shame to see Motorola follow the poor standard being set by the other phone makers with an integrated battery. I have to switch out batteries in my Photon once every 1-2 days, as it can't make it through an entire day with anything more than minimal usage. Poor move Moto. And the display on the Photon was probably the most common negative comment it received, yet it looks like they hardly did anything different on the Q. While I'm sure it'll be a good phone, I see it as a disappointment, especially considering how long it's been since HTC and Sammy have released their flagships for the year.

The original Photon has WiMAX for 4G, which was notorious for bad battery life.
LTE is generally better for battery life, especially with the newest Snapdragon chips that integrate the radio and processor on one chip. That makes a huge difference.

I know all that. Problem is, as I stated, the new phone actually gets WORSE battery life, even with a larger battery AND the benefits you mentioned. I unplugged my Photon at just before 7 this morning, so about 8 hours ago, and I'm already at 20%. That's pretty typical for me, and I've hardly used it for talking, minimal web surfing, email, and using the calendar. Not exactly heavy usage, hardly even moderate. But at least I can switch out the battery and keep going. There's no way I could use the Q.

Although it's possible that the Photon Q has worse battery life, if you're basing that assertion strictly on manufacturer specs... I wouldn't.
Battery life numbers are notoriously inconsistent, as there is no industry standard way of testing. I would wait until the phone comes out and reviewers can at least chime in on their experience with real-world usage and battery life.
