Camera
I have viewed some videos on youtube regarding the razr maxx hd and they were very informative. Just wondering if there were any improvements or information on the camera.
Anyone have any input?

Everything I have read says the camera is the weakest part of this phone. I am disappointed. Why can't Moto have a camera as good as the iphone camera?

☹️ Yes I have read & viewed some videos that say pretty much the same thing. I guess testing it out would be best. I know that nothing replaces a digital camera, but with the technology today you would think improvements in the camera function would be in order with the state of the art mobile phone like the droid razr hd or maxx hd. I am in no way putting down this phone, just saying motorola phones that I have owned in the past did not have good cameras and just wondering if this would be an improvement. I guess there will be move responses as more people purchase this phone. I will try to be optimistic.

I was waiting to upgrade until this phone came out. Visited the store once they had it on display and everything was awesome except i noticed two things that kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
1. the pictures i took with the camera were OK, i just didnt like the interface for the camera, and it took too long to process the picture before taking the next one, for me.
2. when navigating through the menus and homescreens, it seemed to get hung-up every once in a while.
otherwise, amazing device!!!!

So is the razr maxx worth getting despite the camera

So far the phone is pretty awesome. Battery life is everything it's hyped up to be. I'm sure the battery does need some conditioning and a few charge and discharge cycles to gain it's full potential. Worth getting, yes.
The camera. Ugh, I'd hate to say it, but... yeah... it sucks.
The pictures are as everyone says, just "OK". Nothing impressive what so ever.
8 MP? No way.
The camera on my old HTC Droid were way better.
This camera on the Moto looks like camera phone pictures from 2005.
Ok ok, I'm exaggerating. 2008.
In pure daylight, they come out pretty clear and very acceptable.
Take a picture in any conditions other than optimal sun or light source and it starts falling apart quickly.
