That little emoticon about sums up how I feel about the battery life of this phone. It basically sucks.
Five hours if you're lucky with normal use. Which for me is two gmail accounts set to push. Bout 50 or so texts. Moderate web/social network usage 10 minutes for ever hour(isn't that average?)
Coulda used a few hundred more mah's in the trunk. I'll probably be returning this phone.

I also didn't like its short battery life but it's not as serious as what other people are saying in this forum. 😁

It's really a shame
That HTC produced this useless device. Even the new Lumia line (810, 820) have memory card slots, and windows phones were notorious for omitting that. Microsoft learned quickly.
Just based alone on the fact that this is a 16GB phone, non-removable battery, and I would be forced to use up the data that I pay for to use a cloud service, there is no way in hell I would ever even pay a single cent for this phone, which would be a money-pit.
You change those two things about this device, and it goes from the bottom of the barrel INSTANTLY to the very, very top. Above the Note II and the GS III.
This could have been *THE* flagship phone, instead, it's a tugboat.

Kills it for me. I can give up a removable battery, but I personally dont want to give up my SD card.

Only 16GB Memory?
You would think with a beast of a phone sporting HD screen and extremely high MP Cameras in front and back, with the intent of taking HD movies, that there would be at least 32GB maybe even 64GB onboard memory for this device. If not, 16GB will cover it, if HTC included a Micro-SD Card slot for 64GB cards. Otherwise, this is just limiting the phone and its user. Which in my eyes is the only thing wrong wit the device, other than it being on Verizon and not Sprint, which is notorious for carrying HTC products more than Verizon.

I'd be so there if it was "sense-less".
We gotta find a way to get great hardware like this, without the manufacturer customization. It's not even so much my hatred of Sense (though I do hate it), as my hatred of how it prevents updates.
I predict in the near future, phones will be as big a target for hackers as computers, if not more. When that happens, there will be a need for timely OS updates for ALL phones, whether new or old. Things like Sense get in the way and prevent fast updates, and it's going to be a big problem.
It's better for the hardware mfg's to differentiate themselves through cool hardware design, and leave the OS alone so the software folks can take care of that part.

Scratching head...
Why, oh why, put so many impressive features into this phone, only to miss out on the most basic ones?? 1080p display with a fixed storage of 16gb?? What's the point of baking in the features if you can't truly take advantage of it? It's like getting a new Lamborghini with snow tires.
My excitement for this phone has been quelled by what I feel are 2 MAJOR flaws:
1 - Non-Removable Battery.
2 - No External Storage (c'mon, I have a 64gb in my Rezound.)
Must admit I'm tempted, but I think I'll wait for the next train...

I wish I had this screen on my phone. Can wait till a windows phone gets this screen hopefully with the same pure black led type screen... I love the dark black and great contrast on the 920...

Only good thing....
According to Android Authority HTC DNA comes with its sim unlocked so that means it will work on GSM networks so it could be used on AT&T or T-Mobile!

If this phone came with expandable memory and was released all all 4 major carriers under the same name like the SIII has done. HTC has a gorgeous phone that is a beast that could become a dominant phone if it was available on all 4 carriers plus had expandable memory.

Why no SD slot or removable battery? Both are a big deal! You need a place to put things (SD) and I find my batteries deteriorate before phone contracts are up, so being able to replace it is important. This trend sucks!

I don't know. When is big too big? This is borderline phablet. 5"? Love the idea of 1080p though but will most apps be accommodating? There's apps on the iPhone 5 still show black bars. Developers are taking forever to update them.

1080p?!? i really want this now.. cant i get this with winodws 8. but yes agreed what idiot put a 16gb card in this... you can play blue ray quality video and you can hold what two videos on that? wow... I'd pay 100 more for a 64gb version and with other phones already breaking the $200 price barrier im shocked a phone with otherwise nice specs failed in this area. Really??????
