Samsung SGH-P107

does the p107 actually have a speaker on the outside of the phone for ringers and such, or is it made like most samsung's with the earpiece doing a double job?

Well it says "coming soon" but they DO have them in store. At least around here...

Just wanted to mention that the battery life really is excellent on this phone. If you don't mess with the pictures and just use your phone for talking moderately each day you'll get 5 full days of the battery. Not bad at all. I last charged my phone saturday afternoon and it is now wednesday and I still have 2 of three bars in the battery status indicator.

I just bought this phone, after deciding between this, the Motorola V400 and the Samsung X427. I picked this phone because I've known Samsung to build quality phones, and it had everything I wanted (minus speakerphone) in a smaller package than the V400. I'm happy with my choice, although dissapointed that you can't get someones picture to pop up when they call, unless someone has figured that out??? One problem I've had was dropped calls, perhaps this was the cingular network, but I experienced a period this afternoon where my calls weren't staying connected, even when the phone said I had full service. Also the earpiece volume seems a little weak, but it's not terrible by any means.

Overall very nice phone...these few problems won...

Is this phone worth all of the hype? I'm an agent in West Texas and we're receiving our first shipment soon and I would like some feedback on how good it is. My girlfriend also wants to switch to Cingular but refuses to use anything but a Samsung phone. So any advice or comments would be great.

now that Cingular just bought me (im an attws customer) will i be able to buy and use this phone when it comes out with my attws sim card? this phone is perfect.

The P107 is slated for Cingular Wireless in January 04. This is the direct replacement for the Samsung x427 model which is only atemp phone. They are trying to slot this in at the same price point as the 427

its a shame the phone doesnt have speaker phone..

We just got the dummies in on 5/03/04. This is a nice looking phone, but no EDGE. Who knows when we'll get the real thing.

anyone know when this phone is available on cingular? it's listed as a phone for downloading ringtones etc. but the phone itself is not available in my market...go figure!?
