Weak body
The phone's design and body are identical to my Samsung Galaxy Ace IIx, so please, do NOT drop this phone. Any drops from 3 - 4 feet up will not only dent the plastic band around the phone, but it WILL crack the screen too. I speak from experience.... 😢

With this super hard plastic dents are possible, believe me.
Yes, I do have an excellent case now. The phone is well, there is a crack in the glass but it is outside of the viewable screen area, so no worries.

Don't drop you shiny metal phone either. Just bc it is metal does not mean the glass cannot crack. If you drop a glass screen on concrete it will break no matter what is on the back!!
Btw metal is less forgiving. Try dropping a metal phone on the edge. That glass will crack every time!! Because metal and glass don't mix. Also plastic is much better for the electronics. Ever realize that metal is a great conductor.
This whole metal is better debate is absolutely mind blowing to me. Several years ago the same debate took place on cars when they put the first fiberglass bumper on. Now you can't buy a car without it.

I didn't even think about that, you're right. You can't buy a car with a metal bumper these days even if you wanted to.
And yes - definately true about metal and glass. Not only that, but a phone with a metal backing usually doesn't support NCF becuase the signal is so weak it can't penetrate the metal. If you have a plastic back, you can get the SD card with integrated NFC, but thats not an option if it is metal backed.
Plus yes - its a great conductor and it attracts heat-cold as well much faster than plastic. I've had plastic and metal phones sitting side by side in direct sinlight, the metal phone stopped working and gave a warning that it was overheating, and the plastic phone was still nice and cool. I just looked up the specs for the HTC One on Phone Scoop, it does indeed have NFC, and it's made of metal or aluminum whatever it's made of.

Yep, that means there is either a space in the metal shell, or the NFC sensor is on the front of the phone. The space would only need to be small enough for signal penetration, and they probably used brushed hard plastic over the space, so it would have the same consistency as metal.

Gorilla Glass 3 doesn't make much of a difference?
I watched some videos on YouTube of people beating up the S4's screen, I'm fared well.
The last time I dropped a phone was Oct 2011, so I historically I don't do it very often.

Oh I don't either, I felt like an idiot. Slipped out of my hand, tried to grab it with my thumb and I shot it across the sidewalk. Put a nice dent in that "metal" band around the phone, and a small crack in the glass moving inward, and then back outward to the edge of the glass, total crack length about 1 inch not over viewable area.
Didn't seem to make a difference for me anyways.

I've dropped mine a couple of times and it doesn't have a single scratch nor crack on the screen and neither does the case. Are you sure about this? How rouhh did you dropped yours and from what height?
