Got mine today
😁 Got my 790 today. I dont know what your talking about CustServ guy....the phone is great....real nice looking...much better then the cookie cutter silver flip phones....menus, camera, flash, phone book, everything is awesome. Comes with a leather poach and headphones that let you recieve and hang up a call w/o touching the phone. Outside screen, inside screen....I have absolutely no complaints.
Thanks to all the VZ guys (you know who you are) that made this possible.
Only lacking things are speakerphone and bluetooth...why cant they just put everything in?
Cant wait to go test it in the International Market...
Quick question for anyone who can answer: I have International Service through rent-a-phone....am stuck in the $10/...

Hey can you answer a question for me.
Does the camera have a zoom. Do you think this phone is gonna be better than the LG7000 thats comin out. Just wonderin if i should wait for the LG or get this one.

Zoom is certainly available. Here are the relevant sections from the manual:
While using the display as a viewfinder, a row of icons appear in the bottom of the display, which represent picture quality, zoom settings, orientation of the display, fun frames, brightness, and color. Use the left/right navigation keys to select an icon, then use the up/down navigation keys to select settings for brightness, color, and so on.
Zoom: Set the zoom for x1, x2, or x4 (see note that follows...

They charged me $349.99 on a 2 year and gave me the NE2 credit. I think this phone is only worth the $$ if you think you need the world phone feature. A previous post from VZW Customer Service Guy (can't remember his handle) suggested the phone is quite large. I haven't seen mine yet as I'm on the road and it came in a couple of days ago.
I might have seen a version of phone in Seoul a few days ago. I was about 20 feet away and it sure looked like the pictures. And yes, it was big. A small laptop!
I'll report more when I get home and start to mess around with it. 🙂

Well I like the phone. Granted its a teeny bit on the larger side but i dont mind it. The phonebook feature is great..except when you click on Contacts its not the one you want....you have to go to Options and Search. Then you can scroll through by letters...but Im a little biased so Im okay with it.
There is no Video and as for speakerphone its loudest volume is load enough for deaf people but its not a speaker phone as in you can't close it and continue a conversation. The picture clarity is gorgeous
As for the LG 7000 well Im sick of the cookie cutter silver flips and it doesnt have a SIM card.
If your not hung up on staying with Verizon (Not sure why I am...just been with them for a long time) then I would suggest just going...
