Can it be unlocked?
Can the gsm side of the phone be unlocked? Seems like a good idea, if you can unlock the thing.

So can anybody actually answer the question instead of blabbering on about TMobile? I too need to know if you can unlock the phone so you can use a SIM card OTHER than one from Sprint...that's why you have it unlocked. Thanks.

Why do people always try to get over on companies ...NO they wont unlock it ...put your self in their shoes ....it's your network why would you allow it to be unlocked ...just to watch someone else make money?

It may be their network, but it's my phone, and since these companies are not operating overseas, they're not losing any revenue, are they? Anyway, in answer to the question of whether these phones can be unlocked, rest assured that they can. There are services located on the web, who for a small fee will give you the code needed to unlock the phone so that you can purchase Sim cards when you are overseas. That way, you can make and receive calls for a reasonable price and not be ripped off to the tune of over $1/minute charged by the domestic carriers.

This is a pretty interesting phone BECAUSE it has bands for both US & overseas use. Cost for international roaming on plans based in either US or Europe are in the price range of $1 / minute. But local plans both places are a few cents / minute. So, if this phone can be used unlocked, with a CDMA plan for VZW and in Europe with a T-Mobile or E-Plus plan then it can save lots of $$$.

I am trying one service in VietNam : they told : they'll unlock it in about 3 days (from sunday) . The price's 50$ , I'll tell u late when got result !
