Cingular testing 6820
Found out from the Nokia rep that Cingular is currenlty testing the 6820. So I guess the chance of getting the phone is 50/50. Suggested retail is $349.

The call waiting indicator for an outside call that is not in your contacts, displays the number for t - 2 seconds and then changes to call 2. Any fixes for that? 🙄

Converting MIDI ringtones
I've been using the Nokia Sound Converter (in PC suite 5.65) to convert midi files to ringtones, but when I copy them onto the phone, I get an error message that the file can't be opened. Anyone have any tips?
Cingular does have EDGE
Cingular does have compatibility with EDGE technology as we have been selling the Nokia 6200 EDGE phone for many months now. Since the 6800 is being phased out for Cingular, I anticipate the 6820 becoming available for Cingular by April. The 6820 would be a much greater upgrade from the 6800, rather than the cosmetically identical 6810.

App folders
I need to know if there is a way to control or manage the folders that the applications are saved in. Whenever I download a new game to my 6820, it saves it in the Collection folder, and I want it to be in the games folder. Is there a way to change the default location for saving new apps? Or is there a way for me to move the application once it is downloaded? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Will
In case anyone cares
AT&T will begin carrying this phone beginning next week. The price will be $279.99-$349.99

Carriers?
Does anybody know which carrier is going to have to 6820? I currently work for Cingular in Houston, TX and since we have the 6800, I doubt if we'll carry this phone. I would love to get a hold of this phone...it has every feature anybody could want! Please let me know if anybody can get a hold of information concerning this phone.

Trying To Connect Powerbook to AT&T Wireless via 6820...MCH?
This is targeted at MCH (or anyone else who has successfully connected to AT&T Wireless GPRS via their Powerbook / 6820 / (via bluetooth)--What settings did you use? And also, have you been able to send pictures from the 6820 (either via MMS or email)? Very interested in chatting, the 6820 is a phenomenal device, just wish it could hold more than 500 names!!!
Backlit keyboard
Small note: the text keyboard does have backlighting. Like the 6800, you have to press the special backlight key (top-left) to activate it.
In my short time with it, the keyboard backlighting seemed rather uneven, especially compared to the 6800 (which was surprisingly good in that respect).
Just FYI...
