I was very excited when I first saw this. It looks very cool and I was hoping that it would replace my Nokia 6620, Sharp Zaurus SL-C760, and iPod. Too bad it's short a few features, though. If only it had:

1.) a slightly larger internal screen
2.) SD/MMC expansion card slot
3.) Symbian or perferrably Linux OS
4.) Class 10 EGPRS

Since it only looks like it has 5MB memory, I guess Moto isn't going to install iTunes on this model. ☹️

The Nokia 9300/9500 looks like it'll be a better fit for me, but I like the size of this one and I really hate Nokia's contact application... plus I'd rather have Linux (so I can run bash, perl, etc.) than Symbian.

Hopefully Moto will come out with a similar model that includes some of the items o...

No, but I don't always need my 40GB iPod with me at all times either. If I could get a new Moto phone with iTunes on it (not sure when those are coming out) and an expansion slot to toss a 1 or 2GB SD card in, I could easily leave the iPod in my truck while I'm at work.

I actually get pretty good quality sound from my Nokia 6620. And with a 128MB card, I get about a fullday's worth of music. Since I work in an office, I can never get more than 2 or 3 hours of time to listen to music.

The interface, though, is no where near as nice as the iPod's. I wonder if the iTunes app on the upcoming Moto phones will provide a UI on par with the iPod's?

Battery life I could see being a problem. On my 6620, the battery life is good, but if you play a lot of multimedia or games, the battery wears down very fast. Many times on a full charge, I can only play a game for about 45min before the battery runs dry. Fortunately, I have an extra charger here at work that I had from a previous Nokia phone.
