I keep hereing that cingular isnt going to be carrying the motorola A630 (which would be a stupid move) from some people and that they will have it out soon from others. I dont know who to believe so im just going to ask:

I haven't seen any listed at Motorola. I looked myself. I was looking for an unlocked version as well. I do know that when I had T-Mobile the phones I had were already unlocked with the exception of Sidekick Color. My sister has used them with her ATTW SIM card and I with my Cingular SIM card. You could always purchase it with out a contract and insert your SIM card and see if it works. If you know someone that works there, they might let you try it in the store before purchasing. If you pruchase and it doesn't work, you have 3 days to return and as long as there's not over a certain amount of talk time;you won't be charged a re-stocking fee. Call your T-Mo store to make sure. I'm not sure if tey all operate the same.

Sounds to me like T-mobile may know that Cingular isn't going to carry it, so they decided to remove any way of changing the browser and mms settings. Or the other reason is T-Mobile realizes they are losing millions yearly to dealers trans shipping phones. Maybe all of their phones will be coming out this way...??? All I know is what I could do is make a call and send/receive sms fine. I do know that I did like the T-Mobile version better then the unlocked Cingular Prototype I used for abou...
