For those of you who have the a630, i have a few questions.

What are your true feelings on the QWERTY keyboard? Is it implimented as well as it could be? IS there anything you don't like, or would like to improve upon?

I've had a chance to play around with a live model, but only for a short moment. Is there a way to set it so that, when you begin typing on the keybooard, it automatically opens a new text message (like the nokina 6800 does, for example)? I noticed when I hit a key that also funtioned as a "number" key (0-9, *, #) it took it to mean i was typing in a phone number. Is there a way to change that?

I had a motorola talkabout pager which had a qwerty keyboard like the A630 and loved it. I've always dreamed of this pager combo and now patiently waiting for my a630.

I appreciate the willingness to help, but that didn't really answer the questions I asked.

Thanks anyway, though. 😉

you can. the farthest the unit will allow you asign a shortcut is "new text message" it will prompt you to change or cancel a new TM with the so called soft keys; which is reversed for some wierd reason. then u can write a TM, hit OK, hit PH. BOOK, and ur ready to go.
