Cingular A630 dummy phone
I walked into a cingular store today just to check out the other phones in case I bail on the A630 when on my way out (speak of the devil) the A630 was there proudly on display. It was a dummy phone,but I picked it up, opened it, played with the keyboard and pretended it was real. The sign holder next to it that shows the price was blank. I asked the rep how much it was and she said (shock!) it's not out yet. She said it was coming out next month tho. I asked how much it was going to be when it comes out "next month" (wink, wink) and she checked her price sheet and told me $209.99. So does that mean anything that they had the dummy phone on display there? I thought its supposed to mean something when they get the dummy phone. Bu...

I think that is a very accurate statement. While I must admit that is very encouraging that you saw a dummy phone, I wouldn't be surprised if it was already there before Cingular decided to pull the phone. Thanks for the tidbit though.
