6820, 3300 or A630
I know I asked about the Treo 600 before and realized I don't need a pda. I need a phone with a keyboard. So I've looked at my options and these are my choices but I'd like some insight on which is better. If anyone would share their opinions I'd be thankful!

The 6820 and 3300 are both Series 40 devices, which means they have rather small 128x128 screens. The A630's screen is 220x176 - and landscape to boot - so if you're looking for a messaging phone I would recommend it over either of the other two.
The 6820 has EDGE, though. And the 3300 is an MP3 player. Seems like nothing is ever really black and white.

but as far as the phones capabilities unless you plan on hooking the phone up as a modem (not suggestable) then edge does very little for you , internet is half a second faster, and downloading ring tones is 2 seconds quicker....nothing that warrants EDGE...and as of the mp3 player...well that just depends if you are out of office enouph with your phone that you require a media player of that sort....

EDGE also gives a significant advantage when reading and sending email, which is one of the tasks that messaging phones like these are going to be used for. A lot.
Want to include a picture in that email you're sending? EDGE will get it sent a couple of MINUTES faster, not a couple of seconds. EDGE is 10 times faster than GPRS for any kind of sustained data transmission.
I'm with you on the MP3 player... why would I want that on my phone? Isn't that what my Ipod is for?

I've decided to go with a 6820. I'm having it configured for Cingular before it is sent out so I will see how I like it in a few days. 🙂

the 6820 is a nice phone, i use mine mainly for texting but the speakerphone and keyboard are really nice, the camera however is completely worthless...you cant make anything out, the video recorder has the same problem but at least it has audio which is cool
