Why the hell would you get this phone when you can get the 9900 for the same price and sooo much better features?

Both phones are promotionally priced & will go up after Oct 11th. If you are not eligible for your upgrade now, even the full retail price of $149.99 is introductory and will definitely go up by quite a bit. Expect this phone to be a little more than the Samsung A670, but less than the LG VX-7000 after October 11th.

I went with my girlfriend to upgrade her phone today. The Verizon salesman (Escondido, CA) told her that the 8910 and 9900 were equally good along with another phone. Perhaps Verizon is encouraging the reps to push the 8910.
I encouraged her to get the 9900 after reading the glowing reports here.
