Now that VZW and Motorola have finally given us a phone that has most everything you can ask for, When do you think we will see it?

No matter how many times people ask, no one really knows. But being around this sort of thing before, I would say this would be the big Christmas 2004 phone, and that is with no unanticipated delays. I would not hold your breath for the summer like many people are saying.

This phone has got to be the nicest motorola phone made. I would predict that this phone would be more of a jan 2005 release. Going by the idea that the V.810 was suppose to come out before the vx6000, so as you can tell moto is a little slow. I can't wait until this phone comes out even if I have the a670 the vx7000 or the cdm 9900 this phone will be the hottest thing that Verizon will put out.Please respond if anyone knows any different about release dates

This phone, according to a Moto rep is expected some time at the end of the 3rd quarter

I hope this phone does come out on time. This phone has provided a great push for me to join Verizon. I am currently w/ TMO and i like the service, and the calling area has gotten better but the lack of an atleast semi attempt at a 3g solution bothers me. I want to have those features that come w/ 3g so i am leaning toward Verizon or Attws who has EDGE. This phone will probably be the decider for me. Great features and cool look=hot phone.

I received a response from Motorola that they have no launch date planed as of yet. I read that as get the CDM 9900.

Id much rather have the V710. I would like Bluetooth and the CDM 9900 doesnt feature that unfortunately otherwise i would be all over that.

I think the comments about Christmas or early January of next year would be a pretty good guess. Moto is nothing if not inefficient. And even though it looks like a pretty damn spiffy piece of hardware...I have my doubts. I've never been impressed with Motorola workmanship (except for the StarTac...but we know we'll never see a phone THAT good again from Moto). I guess we'll all play the waiting game, yes?
