Just wondering if anyone with this has a mac and iSync to see if one can sync vCard and date book with iSync. I know the phone is not on the compatible list on the apple iSync website yet. DOes anyone know if it will be soon?
Make that two of us. If it works with iSync, especially over Bluetooth, it justifies spending the incremental amount that a cable and software would cost with a non-Bluetooth phone.

I couldn't believe the prices they charge for a USB to motorola cable ($80+).
Holy Crud!!! $80?!? Where are you buying that?
I pay $2 - $6 for mine on Ebay, and I've bought quite a few... They all have worked.
I called Verizon and Motorola and no one seems to know if the V710 will work with MAC iSync. Please let me know if anyone knows more about this. I want to purchase the phone for the Blue Tooth feature but also need MAC iSync support for my address book. Also, do you need to purchase the USB $80 cable to work with iSync or will the bluetooth feature get me in sync without the cable.
Much thanks for anyones replay!
😢
Thanks
I can sync with the USB cable, not with BT. Seems the put the squash on that one.
The site is www.level2communications.com and click on equiptment testing. Yes, I am still asking for a one time $1 donation before viewing the information I am posting. If you object to this, don't go to the site.
I understand that you can use Mac iSync with v710 with USB cable but not Bluetooth. Does your shop have to work on the phone to get USB to talk to phone?
I am very interested in having my v710 talk to Mac iSync. Let me know more info, cost and website to send you my phones if needed.
Thanks!
Thanks for the reply two years ago!
This is my new issue with the Motorola V710 & E815.
My V710 was working as an analog modem with my Mac G4 laptop. I tried using last week as a modem and it stopped. A Verizon representative in a local store told my the tri-mode feature doesn't work anymore (everything is digital). I want to trade up to the E815 which I also understand is discontinued. I have Motorola cradles in both cars and the V710 & E815 work and charge well in the cars.
Question: Can you get either my V710 or E815 to work as analog modem with my laptop. I don't need another Verizon bill. I rearly use modem function with minutes but when needed it comes in real handy. I live in Bergin County NJ-Paramus. Can I c...

The 710 is on the list, but Apple says only USB data transfer is supported right now. No bluetooth.
There is much talk going on on Apple's discussion boards for syncing the v710 with our Apple computers.

In both in the iSync forum, and Bluetooth forum....
Hopefully, once everyone has this phone Verizon, Motorola, and/or Apple will fix what ever needs to be fixed to allow us to use Bluetooth.....that is why I'm getting this phone.....
