THE FOLKS AT MOTO AND VERIZON,HAVE BECOME SO ARROGANT, THAT I DONT THINK THEY CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER, WHETHER WE BUY THIS PHONE.AT THIS POINT WHO EVEN WANTS IT AFTER BEING JERKED AROUND FOR SO LONG???

YOU ARE CORRECT, HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN WITH VERIZON FOR 14YEARS, AND HAVE NOTICED THE WAY THEY DO BUSSINESS HAS BECOME WORSE OVER TIME,I HAVE A VERY LARGE COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT, AND GIVEN THE PURE REVENUE ON THAT ACCOUNT,THEY STILL DO NOT CARE ON WAY OR THE OTHER

No need for all caps - why not just threaten to pull your account if they don't satisfy your (reasonable) requests for equipment? Customers really are a driving force in business; if your account is big enough Verizon will listen. It's the rest of us retail schmucks who have no voice. 🙂

WE HAVE SERIOUSLY THREATENED TO PULL OUR ACCOUNT,AND EVEN TALKING WITH THE LADY SR. VP FOR VERIZON WHO HEADS UP THE SEVEN WESTERN STATES,THEY SEEM LIKE THEY COULD CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.I BELIEVE THEIR IS SOME SERIOUS INTERNAL FIGHTING IN VERIZON,CAUSING LOTS OF UNHAPPY EMPLOYEES.THE RETAIL SIDE IS KEPT VERY SEPERATE FROM THE COMMERCIAL SIDE.

I can vouch for the un-happy employee side, but its on the retail side where I work. The way things are handed down as far as policies, pricing, etc is terrible. The way that customers seem to think they can treat us retail reps is also horrendous. They seem to think that we owe them something if they break their phone. I see it day in and day out, its terrible.

i first off would like to thank all verizon wireless reps and CS reps, they have treated me very well during my 5 years with them!! i see what you go through and i commend you for putting up wit hpeople like those!!! i would love to work for verizon, but i dont think i could do it!!! and you know whats sad is iam a SGT. for correction in ohio and working with mental health inmates,and the inmates act better than alot of the customers ive seen!!! soagain i want to personally want to thank you men and women for putting up with retards in this USA. also i got so tired of waiting on this motorola phone i did a ESN change and activated my v60s,till the v710 comes out!!!

I too did CS for 4.5 years for ATTWS. You think VZW is arrogant? Look at what happened to ATTWS last year. It was a hell hole to work in. New CS software crapped out, number portability crapped out. Customers were buying new service and could not get activated. Now that's entertainment! Now it got so bad they sold out to the first person to offer a nice golden parachute to the senior execs! Talk about laying a stinking load on the employees & stockholders!

they definitely care, but it is very difficult to keep track of individual businesses when verizon has millions of accounts. just that we (general public) dont have the privilege of knowing certain details, no matter how much money you pay monthly. personally, i dont care. i understand that and the only thing that i expect from verizon is that they stay on top as the best service provider.

Its not arrogance we are trying to get phones that work. Moto Im sure wanted the phone out months ago but testing is not going as well as we'd hoped, thats why its taking soo long. THE TRUTH !!! We have heard nothing of ship dates and have seen the 810 outperform the 710 so who knows?

How is this thread an "Update"???? Why are you wasting our time and thread space with your personal and useless opinions. If you are going to post something like this, than put it under "V710 opinion" or something like that. I, too, am frustrated about the herky-jerkyness of this phone release, but at this point I think most of us are more frustrated at all the useless posting and unreliable information. I hate clicking on a thread title seeing "V710 UPDATE ****" thinking that I'm going to get some great updated info and all I get is your rant. Just a thought for next time.

first off, its been on infomanager as coming soon for months.Nothing new. Secondly, all these posts about flyers at stores and dummy models out front yada yada is pure BS. Thirdly, its possible that a couple of people here have the 710 for sale (ecko and aldcon did too).Right now, thers nothing new, nothing that we havent known for 3 months.Moto's been ready since then but VZW hasnt jumped so until they do, its a status quo (on hold as so aptly put by VZW EMPLOYEE).Maybe soon, maybe in august, maybe never. No one knows.

I just checked infomanager and it is in the WDTS Database. I also did a general search on the V710 and it shows that the ODTS was update on 7/10/04. On a further note on the DF end the SKU's have been added but it shows no inventory for the phones, yet. So it shouldn't be to much longer to go.

That was going to be my next question. Perhaps the addition of the SKU's is a positive sign. At this point, who the hell knows? Throw me a freakin' bone VZW (please).

You're right DF is direct fulfillment which is where the initial launches of phones normally take place because not all phones are initially released to the general consumer market. Basically since we now have the SKU's we have the way of tracking phones in and out. And since this was just updated on yesterday's report it could potentially mean that we are awaiting shipment of phones from the manufacturer. Unfortunately though there is no specific date. Hopefully I can have some more info on this soon though.
