I was pleasantly surprised to find that I'd be able to exchange my V710 for a Moto Q. So on June 1, I ordered a Moto Q for $249.99 with only a ONE year agreement. Yet when I received my new phone, the receipt said I had agreed to a TWO year contract.

Their customer service rep just about had me convinced that I must've been hallucinating and sent me to the Verizon web page that proved that the phone in fact sells for $349.99 on one year contracts. He offered to have me pay merely another $50 to "change my order to a one year contract."

Well, having been "misled" by Verizon more times than I care to recall, I had kept detailed "print screens" of the entire purchase transaction. And what do you know, I had proof that showed ...

Status report: It took 5 phone calls, 1 fax, and 2 emails, but they finally made good on the original price/contract terms.

But my jubilation is subdued, since so far the "Q" has been a serious disappointment. I cannot make or receive calls nearly as well as I did on my old V710. The gypsy said she saw the letters "E B A Y" in my future. I wonder what that means? ;-)

Ummmmm, are you surprised??? You basically traded one Motorola P.O.S. for another...and you expected fireworks.
