LTE/CDMA modes?
BGoodJun 12, 2015, 9:54 AM
I notice the modes supported by this phone are far fewer than for the Galaxy S6, at least according to the specs I see here at PhoneScoop. But the AT&T site says it supports:
Wireless Technology
4G-LTE
Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 29 and 30
4G
HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul
3G - UMTS
850/1900/2100MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE
850/900/1800/1900MHz
Wi-Fi connectivity
802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
So I'm wondering if AT&T just did a cut-and-paste? Or if PhoneScoop left some out.
I want to be sure I can get some form of 3G or better when I travel in Europe and Asia with this phone.

Our draft info was limited to the bands we could confirm. Samsung people looked that over and said it was correct, so that's what we published. But I believe there are additional bands supported. I've just added some more, and will confirm the rest.

Thanks for your response and for updating the information so quickly! FWIW, I bought this phone last Friday after 3 1/2 years on a Galaxy SII. I'm very impressed with the phone overall, and especially the battery life! The "quick charge" is also an amazing improvement!
My only complaint is having just 32 GB of storage, non-upgradeable. Of the 24 GB available to me when I started, I have just 6 GB left! So where do I put my 40+ GB of photos? I ordered a small microsd USB-OTG reader that will hopefully let me keep everything close at hand. No especially elegant, but should be good enough.

You can download Microsoft One Drive to get 100GB free cloud storage on the galaxy s6. It's amazing. It automatically uploads photos I take (can be disabled if you don't want it to use the data for that). I can also manually adjust what's on there if I download something and want it uploaded or want to delete from whats been stored. It also allows you to view your files (pics, vids, docs) that you've uploaded on the webpage. It does have the ability to create folders and organize your stuff too, so its not just one big list of pics.
