My phone won't charge!
Alright. My phone suddenly won't charge at all. It won't charge with the USB or with the regular charger. I have barely any battery left. Any help?

Thats the same thing that happened to my phone so i called up cingular and they recently sent me a replacement.

I called cingular and they said it would cost just as much to repair the phone as it would to buy a new one. and we're under warranty. what did you do?

Actually I had this problem with one of my chargers on 1.43 ROM. I factory defaulted the phone and now I use 1.47. I have never had this problem again.

Folks, I got the first MPX 220 from Best Buy on the day after Thanksgiving in 2004. It cost me net $25 after rebates and gift cards. I had the ones that had speaker/volume problems like everyone has read about. After three new phones from BB, it was acceptable. In March 05, the charging socket got sloppy - first with the charger and then with the USB. I did a XBM thing and got a new one. Two weeks ago, and before my one year was up, I exchanged it for the same reason. The charger socket just wears out. Period. So while I love this phone, now that I understand it, I will not buy one again. Exchange it before your one year is up!

I was actually able to duplicate your problem. No matter what ROM, my phone did not want to charge from the wall charger until.... I cleaned the power contacts on the phone and to my surprise the wall charger started working again. I will keep you posted....

Just a corner of a tissue did it for me back then. YET, It stopped charging again. The only way to charge it via the charger is to flex the cord to the back and stand the phone against the wall. This stinks, I know! Luckily USB cable still charges the phone without any problems.
