CDMA Version in march
I had posted befor about this phone bein released with verizon. Just so theres no misunderstanding the phone will be CDMA and will be released in march. I do not have any other info at this time. Just keep checking the verizon site from time to time for an update.

That's great news! Why aren't there any specs available and how is the phone coming in March if it's yet to receive FCC approval in CDMA form? Is there any info anywere about specs? Verizon's website still says nothing aobut it al all.

I can't believe that VzwTech is still trying say that this phone is coming out in a CDMA version, rightnow no one is even sure if the GSM version will even be released. You say you don't work for Verizon then were do you get your information?

Yeah there is no way that Motorola would even think of wasting the money to put this as CDMA versions. Especially not by March since the US if it does see it even in GSM won't until JUne.

Okay all you Version people out there CDMA is a dead end technology The rest of the world uses GSM, Therefore all the best phones are going to be GSM lets think about invest several million bucks in Reseach and development on a phone with only 67 million people using that technology and less then 10% of them can afford said phone? Or invest several million bucks in Reseach and development on a phone that can be used but more then 500 million people even if if less then 10% of them can afford it

I'll admit I am not a electronics engineer or phone expert but I wouldn't think it would reqire a major re-do on a product to convert it from GSM to CDMA. Seems that would be only involveing the the cell phone and not the rest of the device.... if you see what I mean.

CDMA isn't a bad technology the main issue become that humans are path dependent, think about that keyboard your typing on it's not the best possible set up any longer the qwerty keyboard was designed to prevent jamming on the old hammer style type writers... since more people used it they made more and more until it just became the standard. Same thing for windows it's all a matter of numbers.

I work at Verizon in Glendale,Ca. I am the floor supervisor and I know for a FACT they are coming specifically for Verizon in May 15, 2005. We have a partnership with Motorola to bring it here first! You know that different technologies brings in competetion, and when you have competition, the phone bills come down!

Do you know if they are making any changes to the processor or memory or will it be the same phone as the gsm version but with a cdma chipset?
