I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE BOARDS FOR A WHILE NOW AND I AM TIRED OF HEARING THAT THIS PHONE IS COMING OUT FOR CDMA OR TDMA CARRIERS I REALLY WORK FOR CINGULAR AND THE MOTOROLA REP CAME TO MY STORE 2 WEEKS AGO WITH THIS PHONE AND SAID THAT WE WERE GETTING IT IN MARCH ALONG WITH THE A630 AND THE V635 AND THAT THE MPX WOULD BE FOR CINGULAR ONLY!!!

I have not heard except here, that this phone will be for CDMA/TDMA. This is a GSM phone. I used it with T-Mobile, and in the US it will be exclusive Cingular so I've heard.

Do you know what kind of price we are looking at for this phone? And maybe a release date?

Sounds right along the lines of Cingular's standard pricing. For something like this though I'd expect it to be on the higher end of that spectrum. Keep in mind the Siemens SX66 is $549.99. I wouldn't be surprised by a similar price for the MPx.

Just because your "Rep" came and told you doesn't necessarily make it true. Maybe your rep got some wrong information, I've seen it before. Course, I'm not saying that the phone will actually be coming out as CDMA, I don't see it as likely....but I do know for a fact that reps have been known to not be entirely correct about everything.

So if the phone is coming out mid-march how far in advance does that that become public knowledge with an exact release date and price point. i.e. phonescoop hasn't even put the mpx 300 on "Cingular - tentative"
With other phones they have done that at least a couple months in advance. my local cingular store said that the phone will be shown in the cingular magazine at least a couple months before it comes out and that hasn't happened yet. I was also told march seemed almost impossible.
