You realize the S6 edge and the Note 5 have the same display size, and the exact same specs from everything I glanced over. So, basically, there's no longer any point in making a non edge version of the S phone, since without the curved display they would be the same device?

The Note5 has a stylus. The edge-plus does not.

Also, the curved display costs more to make, and that cost is reflected in the retail price. Some people might prefer the Note5 for the lower price.

The flat display of the Note5 also has less glare and is probably more durable, since a case can't really protect those curved glass sides without covering the display.

I now this is the CDMA section but I did get the Note 5 (AT&T) for both the savings of $100 and the S-Pen. Its a choice and both great.

Thanks, for the reply, Rich. Yes, there are still very minor differences, but no doubt they are no longer completely different devices like they had been in the past.

It depends on which past devices you're referring to, and what you think Samsung's positioning is.

The S6 edge-plus doesn't replace the S6 edge. It's a larger alternative. It would be more fair to say the S6 edge-plus replaces the Note Edge, although with the lack of stylus, that's not entirely accurate, either. The edge-plus is a new device that sits alongside both the standard S6 edge and the Note5 in Samsung's new lineup, offering a blend of those two phones.

Well Rich, I can see why you run this site, always so fair and unbiased! 😁

I'll admit I just kind of assumed the edge was just the next S series device. I haven't been keeping up too much on Samsung I guess because I'm sort of "over" the Samsung craze. That's good to know, though.

Outside of Samsung has priced themselves out of what I'm willing to pay for a phone, also unless I have to replace a phone, I like to wait abit to see if issue surface first month or so
While I do like the curve display, I'd save the money and get the Note 5 if I was to buy.
