The Manual is wrong
Hi everyone, I'm a long time viewer, first time poster. I contacted SE to ask why I could not view or open my text messages from the external display EVEN THOUGH THE MANUAL SAYS THIS IS POSSIBLE. They have told me that this was a printing error and the phone will not be able to do this particular feature. They also told me that there are only 3 camera functions instead of 4. They said they will re-write the manual as soon as possible. Thanks!

Even though you can not get a text message from the external display, you can read an appointment. If you set an appointment or something on the calendar you can read that from the external display.

at first glance of the z500 manual as well as word of mouth before this phone was released alot of us were made to believe u could read incoming text messages from the external screen.. come to find out after most have the phone its not an option..

then how would you be able to read them then? Cuz i mite get this fone, now i don't even noe.

he means you cant read a text message from the display on the OUTSIDE of the phone, like...the display on the phone that you can see when the phone is shut.
