How to View Z500a Photographs??
I was stunned to learn after taking the z500 home that I have to email the photos to myself.
Or blow 50$ on a cable the cingular store doesn't stock. Can't take the card out....
So I got the cable, loaded the software.
I connected the phone.
Now what?
"My Computer"/drives shows nothing.
An email several days ago to SE was not returned.
The only reason I haven't returned it is the store is closed right now.
um. Help?

That will take you to the Sony Ericsson File Manager page. It's by far not the best app in the world but it will solve your problem. After installing and rebooting, you'll see an icon on your desktop labeled "My Phones". Open that and a cell phone icon with a flashing yellow checkmark will appear in your system tray. If your phone is connected and nothing goes wrong, the the checkmark on the icon will turn green and (if I remember right) a wizard will then walk you through setting up your phone for transferring files back and forth. I had this other airy-fairy idea that an actual Cingular store would have more knowledgeable staff than those ubiquitous mall kiosks.

It looked like, after getting the 50$ cable, that I cannot view thumbs of the photos but have to drag them to the desktop ONE AT A TIME. I tried dragging the whole folder, but Cingular desperately wanted the phone back to unload on another unsuspecting customer so dragging the folder didn't work either.
I returned the phone within the hour.
I carry a normal camera with me.
My current phone has no special features, it's the cheapest FREE phone Cingular would give me.
