K700i from AT&T/Cingular in Los Angeles?
Will I be seeing the Sony Ericsson K700i offered by AT&T or Cingular in the Los Angeles area anytime soon? If not, are any of the latest Sony Ericsson phones coming? Any info would be much appreciated? Thanx.

i live in hollywood and thinking about switching to cingular. just thought i'd ask how you like your service. i have verizon and generally love it however it doesn't work in my home. any experience using your phone up beachwood canyon?
to answer your question; this phone will not be offered by cingular. cingular utilizes freq band 800 (850) and 1900. the k700i only offers 900, 1800, 1900. if you don't have a phone with 800 (850) you'll be shooting yourself in the foot in terms of getting the most from cingular. I know all this because i really f-ing want that phone and asked around on these forums. Trust me, it won't work as well as a phone with 800/1900. i use the phone all over the US with Cingular and haven't hit any noticable dead spots...and now with ATT merger coverage is better.
i would recommend it to anyone who has done a bit of research on the freq. in their area.

I do know a company in L.A. area who offers that phone. and with a new contract, they could actually get you that phone for free. e-mail me for more info.
