I thought the Cingular 7610's were black and gold. Anyway, if you or your bro want to change the phone, Nokia USA sells covers. I'm looking at the site now and they have dark brown, dark grey and a pink cover. No black & red unfortunately.
If you really want to get that color combo, you can probably search for a store online. I just did a search on Google for "7610 cover black red" (but w/o the quotation marks) and found some stores in the UK selling the black/red faceplate.
