BLU Vivo 5
Canadian phone?
I spoke with one of the head engineers for this phone at the launch event. He said they wanted to include more bands but it was too difficult to engineer the antennas to support those bands given the metal unibody design. That's why the Vivo XL - a similar phone but with a plastic shell - does support more LTE bands.
This is not a great band set for any carrier in the United States. While the phone would work with T-Mobile and AT&T, it would get very poor service in some areas, and it does not support any low band LTE networks.
If this phone was used in Canada, it would get excellent service on Bell / Virgin Mobile, as it nearly supports all of their frequency bands (Except for Bell's paired band 12/13 LTE and band 17 LTE) However, my Galaxy S 4 does not support 12/13 (It does support Band 17), and I get excellent service unless I am in the middle of nowhere.
