Motorola A840
A840 Transflash memory to Phone Memory Question
So I just got my new A840 however it seems I cannot move anything from my transflash card onto the phone memory, specifically mp3's to set as a ringer! Some people have said the newer firmware installed on this phone stopped the user from being able to do this. Has anyone found a way around this? I appreciate any comments or help. 😎

I have not tried it but when i had that problem on my V710 what i did is instead of putting the MP3's in a certain folder all i did was copied the MP3's to the TransFlash card where it says Motorola instead of clicking on the Motorola folder and putting the MP3's in a specific folder try that and let me know if it works. Let me know if your phone fries when you try charging it too.

No unfortuantly this does not work :=\. I tried all the folders and nothing. Its like my phone just pussifies all the functionality of my transflash card. So lame. When in phone memory with the two mp3's supplied with the phone I have options too copy, set as ringer, and more. However when on the transflash it seems like all these functions are disabled 👿

This is one messed up phone i really haven't had a chance to play with my transflash card yet because my phone seems to keep frying up on me in the charging process before i even get that chance! But i am suppose to be receiving a brand new one from Verizon tomorrow and after i get it all set up and if it don't fry on me in the charging process i will play around with it a little bit and see if i can figure anything out and get back with you.
